FireWall

FireUnit

From professional to professional

Strong

The FireWall unit has been tested for many years in extreme conditions; you can be sure that this device will serve you longer than any government ever will.

Safe

FireWall meets all safety requirements. This CE-certified product ensures user comfort and safety.

Reliable

All essential aspects have been taken into account in the development of FireWall. The unit is easy for anyone to use and will not let you down even in the most extreme conditions.

Peace of mind

FireWall gives the user a real opportunity to protect their fields and machinery before the fire has time to spread. The unit replaces the tractor front ballast and the hose line reaches behind the baler and enables a rapid response to bearing overheating, straw fires, or the igniting crop field. When help is far away, the first minutes are the most critical: this is where FireWall is irreplaceable.

Convenience

The hydraulic water pump operates from the tractor’s hydraulics and can be conveniently controlled from the cab. A 1000-litre water tank, a flexible 30-metre hose line, and an adjustable nozzle provide freedom of movement and ease of use around the machine.

Personal assistant

FireWall assists with everyday tasks. Water plants, transport water for animals, or dampen dusty roads. The water tank can be easily filled from a river or pond using a suction hose. One device, multiple uses: a reliable assistant on a busy summer’s day as well as in critical situations.

 FireWall complies with CE requirements.

Certified welded assemblies.

Compliant surface treatment.

The unit can be mounted on both front and rear three-point linkage systems.

The hydraulic water pump is reliable and does not require constant maintenance.

A high-quality and lightweight Elbi tank allows the use of a larger volume of water. You can be confident that 1000 litres of water is sufficient to extinguish a fire at an early stage.

An 8-metre suction hose allows the tank to be filled within 3 minutes from a nearby water source.

A 30-metre hose line ensures a large working area.

General information

The development of the FireWall unit has focused on safety, reliability, and durability.

We use a hydraulic water pump powered by the tractor’s hydraulics. During testing, this has proven to be the most reliable solution. There is no need to worry about whether the pump will start or whether there is fuel available. The pump can be switched on and off conveniently with a single button from the tractor.

Water pump with a capacity of 700 L/min at a working pressure of 2.5 bar. Required oil flow: 25 L/min

The FireWall kit also includes an 8-meter suction hose that can be quickly connected using CamLock couplings, allowing the water tank to be filled from a river or another water source. Filling the tank takes less than three minutes.

As the water tank, we use high-quality plastic products from the Italian manufacturer Elbi, as they are lightweight and therefore allow the use of a larger water volume.

Water tanks are available in 750-litre and 1000-litre versions. Based on experience, we do not recommend using tanks smaller than 750 litres, as this may not be sufficient to stop a fire.

The application area of the unit is limited only by imagination: it can be used to dampen gravel roads during dusty conditions, transport drinking water for animals, water potato fields, wash machinery, pump water, and of course extinguish fires.

How it started

At around 10 years old, I had my first experience with a field fire when a neighbour was burning dry grass I saw smoke from a distance and, being a young boy, went to investigate what was happening. Everything seemed to be under control and there appeared to be no danger. Suddenly, however, the wind direction changed and gusts became stronger, causing the fire to spread in another direction.

The neighbour had a few rakes with which it was possible to start containing the fire. The fire spread quickly, and I remember the neighbour shouting, “Now it’s going. Now it’s getting out of hand.”

I thought to myself that no, it wouldn’t go anywhere. Fighting the flames in the smoke, I tried to contain the fire. Evidently, the wind eased slightly, and the hard work began to pay off.

Together, we managed to contain the fire, and a major landscape fire was avoided.

That was the beginning of my firefighting journey, and that spark still burns within me.

At the age of 25, I moved to Australia for five years.

Australia is known for its dry climate, with little rainfall, and fires start easily there.

Landscape fires are mainly caused by lightning, ignition (both accidental ignition, such as throwing cigarette butts from car windows, and deliberate arson), and agricultural machinery.

There is, however, another cause of fires. In Australia, slash-and-burn agriculture is still practiced, where residues from the previous harvest are burned and later direct seeding is carried out.

There were cases where my job was to set fields on fire and later monitor them after the fields had been thoroughly soaked with a gasoline- and diesel-mixed fuel. Sometimes, even these controlled burns get out of control when the wind changes unexpectedly.

While in Australia, I participated in extinguishing several fires. The experience I gained there is extremely valuable, and such opportunities are hard to find in Europe.

After returning to Estonia, I could not let this experience go to waste and joined the local volunteer rescue unit. I have now been there for several years. My prior experience with fire has helped me understand fire better, which has certainly been beneficial in the development of the FireWall unit.

For the past 15 years, I have been closely connected to agriculture.

As the years pass, summers have become drier. The number of fires in agriculture increases every year.

Every farmer can personally contribute to protecting their fields and machinery from destruction.

In rural areas, it can take a long time for emergency services to arrive. During that time, a fire on a dry field can spread over several hectares.

The idea for FireWall was born out of practical necessity.

I have personally seen fields burning, and standing by while waiting for emergency services creates a helpless feeling when nothing can be done.
